COLABORATORY 2013 Client Pitch

For the Portland Advertising Federation's COLABORATORY 2013 Program, we were faced with the challenge of coming up with a low cost way to create an impactful social media plan for Nutcase Helmets. Specifically, this plan was to be as low budget as possible and attempt to eventually obtain national coverage. Below is a copy of our plans book.  Our team decided to come up with a Social Media Bible for the company, showing them how to get in, how to keep them entertained, and how to keep it going. *Please note- should you go to download, this is a very large file and may take a minute.*

I must admit- before I got to the point of being a part of this miraculous team, I had to work for it. Below is my COLAB Application. For someone whose focus was in strategy and not film, I admit, it wasn't easy. But the strategy was solid. My skill sets have grown substantially since creating this, and I’d love to re-do it in a much higher resolution with better transitions. Maybe one day I will.

My COLAB Video

Music: "My Body" by Young the Giant.

My "Strut Your Stuff" Application Video. The rules: Be you. Be true to who you are. Be the type of person you'd want to work with.

So I admit, I'm not much of a videographer, and I could probably use more professional equipment next time, but I created this video with the hope of getting an internship with COLAB, and did just that!
I must thank the good people at Lynda.com for their Final Cut Pro X tutorial. I couldn't have done it without them.

As I said, I was very fortunate to be one of ten chosen for this internship, and was one of two Strategists for the six-week+ program. This amazing program no longer exists, but I saved a few screen grabs before it was retired. Below is a little bit more about what COLAB was, a little of me geeking out, and some of what I accomplished to get in.
